If you have never read David Sirota be prepared for some strong opinion reinforced with stronger research. In this article he raises the issue of taxes and makes an interesting argument that many economists agree with. If fact, the policies of the past that he cites as real-world proof that the rich were once taxed more and the nation simultaneously had much higher growth rates than we have since Milton Friedman/Reaganomics became the reigning policy. It is a great read! Is he right?
