Date Posted: Monday, July 26, 2010 by FCDCC

On July 15 Tod DeVeydt, candidate for State Representative, was invited to meet with Major Gregory Thomas, president of the Missouri Deputy Sheriffs' Association and its Board of Directors. Mr. DeVeydt discussed his campaign and fielded questions from the board and its delegates, on topics ranging from Second Amendment Rights to public safety issues.

After the meeting, during closed session, the membership voted to endorse Mr. DeVeydt and his campaign. Major Thomas expressed his feelings regarding the MDSA's decision. "We appreciate the support you have given the deputies over the years, and it is my pleasure to endorse your campaign for State Representative of the 111th District."

"I am honored to receive the backing and approval of such a distinguished and hard working group of men and women," said DeVeydt. "As State Representative, I will be a strong voice for law enforcement, and I will do my best to give them the tools they need to do their job safely and effectively."

Tod DeVeydt is a forty year resident of Sullivan, Missouri, where he lives with his wife, Shelia. Tod works as an independent researcher and technical writer, recently completing a homeland security project designed to protect Americans in the event of a public health emergency.
