I agree Mr. President "don't bet against the American worker". THe Nopublicans that opposed the loans to the auto industry were blinded by a hatred of American labor and a desire to have this administration fail. At least they are consistent, they still act this way.

I am constantly amazed at how much animosity was generated by these auto loans when every other auto producing nation takes far more aggressive steps to support their auto industry on an everyday basis. When that accumulated to the point that when mixed with a financial collapse our industry was almost killed these Nopublicans refuse to accept their role or the importance of this industry to American life. Almost one in ten American jobs is tied to the suto industry. I have some differences with how the auto loan program was conducted which I have documented on these pages many times but on the whole I am thankful we had some adults that care about more than just getting elected in office at this critical time in our nations history.
